Just The Numbers, Mam

On Wed, the 14th, Reuters published an excellent summary of the situation in Italy. From my reading, you can apply the same lessons to Greece, Portugal, Spain, France and (possibly) England.

When I read it, I got chills because all that’s required for it to describe our country, in a few years, is to change some names. We are not as far down the Road to Serfdom as the European country. This is, however, a reminder of the wisdom of Ronald Reagan when he said:

Freedom is never more than one generation away from extinction. We didn’t pass it to our children in the bloodstream. It must be fought for, protected, and handed on for them to do the same, or one day we will spend our sunset years telling our children and our children’s children what it was once like in the United States where men were free — Ronald Reagan

Please read this and visualize how our country could become what these people have and vow to no let that happen.
