Apparently, according to the polling results, most of the 70 plus million Americans who watched the presidential debate last week saw what I saw: the reality of the unmistakable stark contrast between two men – Mitt Romney and Barack Obama – who want to be president of these United States. What I saw was that one man, Mitt Romney, came prepared to debate the real issues facing America while the other man, Barack Obama, came to the debate unprepared. Had America voted following that first debate on October 3 the winner would have been decisive for Mitt Romney – hands down?

Last Wednesday, former House Speaker Newt Gingrich officially suspended his campaign for the Republican nomination for President of the United States. It was definitely a wild ride with lots of twists and turns.

A Scary Story
A scary story is being written. It’s about a country, with a long and proud history of being an example of all that’s good in man. This country was infiltrated, many years ago, by people who preach victimhood, envy and entitlement. In the story they are called BooHoo’s, from their practice of couching each attack on freedom as needed because someone had been harmed. Unhappily, but not unexpectedly, their do-gooder efforts have focused on symptoms rather than problems and have created more problems than they have solved.

Today’s excellent Forbes article “Tim Geithner Covers for Corruption On Pennsylvania Avenue” by Charles Kadlec inspired me to dig into my pile of “Why the Crash?” writings. Mr Kradlec does an excellent job of summarizing the various crimes that led to the crash, so what I’ve collected here is, mostly, for detail and a clearer look at the perpetrators.
The top line summary of the whole mess is “That’s what happens when liberals meddle in the free market”; subtitle “That’s what happens when people who know better show no b…s!”.
