Well, Charlie Rangel thinks Congress looks like a ‘bunch of clowns’ for not raising taxes. I got a news flash, or two, for you Charlie. First, yes, many in Congress do look like clowns for their complete lack of understanding of economics. Second, they’ve been looking like clowns for decades. Oh, and by the way, there’s several in the Executive Branch wearing fright wigs, rubber noses and floppy shoes.  The latest prat-fall was the debt ceiling deal which adds $8-10T to the debt over 10 years.

The week before the “deal” was cut, all of the ratings agencies wrote to Congress and the White House and made it clear that $4B was a minimum and the “substantial and credible” changes to entitlement programs were also required. The good news is that more and more Americans have begun to understand what  a bunch of clowns they’ve elected and they will fix it in Nov 2012. Read “The long war over the budget” for some good insight.

It will be a long war and, as always, our country produces heroes as required – this time, as once before, they are called the Tea Party. Did you know that we are now “Tea Party ‘terrorists'”?

In Nov 2010, our modern “shot heard ’round the world” was fired. Our Battle of Concord and Lexington have played out the past few weeks. Our Battle of Yorktown is scheduled for Nov 2012. We have Valley Forge to endure until then. Stay strong!
