I’m so glad a podcast on this presentation and discussion is available as I was unable to take off work to attend in person.
Perhaps ALEC was a good approach when initially formed, but like all institutions, they can become corrupted over time. I would be very interested in having a full breakdown of all the donations that make their way directly and indirectly into ALEC for it’s benefit. I would also like to know the details of all legislation that was proposed by ALEC, both directly and indirectly, for the legislators’ consideration.
I’m very concerned when people like Bill and Linda Gates and the Koch Boys are involved. And it appears that new Department of Community SUPERVISION (my emphasis) and the Common Core have the fingerprints of ALEC!
And I support the reporter ‘sneaking’ in. Had he registered, ALEC might have hidden any dirty laundry and prepared a sanitized puff piece to throw the reporter off his track. Sorry, Chip, I have lost my complete faith and trust in anything thing the government is involved in!
