The Madison Forum was pleased to have Attorney and former U.S. Congressman Bob Barr, Madison Forum Member, speak at the monthly luncheon meeting, Saturday, March 27th at the “Semper FI Bar & Grill, 9770 Main Street (Canton RD), Woodstock, GA.

Bob Barr spoke about “How Gun Control is Driving a Wedge Between Conservatives and the Police.“

Due to some technological, and other unfortunate mishaps, Bob’s engagement was cut short. However, we plan to have him back as soon as his schedule permits. In this video, you’ll see a brief introduction for Bob by his long time friend, Donna Rowe, and then a short presentation on gun control by Bob.

The Heritage Foundation recently published a related article by Bob Barr entitled, “Conservative Defense of the Second Amendment Falls Short: Needs-Based Defense No Longer Sufficient to Preserve Citizens’ Right to Self-Defense.”

The article presents how the inaction of the U.S. Supreme Court is putting our gun rights at risk, challenges in keeping law enforcement within Constitutional bounds, how COVID-19 “emergency measures” are impacting civil liberties and possibly putting law-abiding citizens at odds with law enforcement, and issues surrounding our Bill of Rights and 2nd Amendment.
