Obscure and hidden away and apparently indirect though their effects may be at times, the laws of nature are and always will be the primary controlling principles by which we make a living and by which our lives will be governed.
Governments, by their very nature, are parasitic institutions that must have the use of material resources that are produced and provided to them by a host population. Then, of course, governments pretend to be paying for the use of the material resources when they use money taken in taxes and fees from the same host population that is producing and providing the material resources that the governments use. Then millions upon millions of people accept and so much believe the fiction that they consider it desirable for governments to grow larger, tax more and spend more and will go to the polls on election day and vote accordingly.
Could anyone possibly believe that it makes sense to tax the doctor to get money to pay for the medical treatment that the doctor is providing in exchange for the money that is being used to pay the taxes? Apparently so. Sometimes I really do have to laugh just to keep from crying.
Could it be that “beneficial parasite” is the best phrase that we could ever have for characterizing and describing a well directed, well managed limited government? I believe it is.
But then when the “beneficial parasite” grows larger and more massive and then inevitably, and apparently unavoidably, becomes host to other parasites, the desirably “beneficial parasite” will and must develop predatory tendencies. By developing predatory tendencies it will become a massively destructive parasite that will destroy its host. And then…..the parasites to whom the massively destructive parasite had become host…..? I guess they will loudly demonstrate their collective angst by publicly bewailing their collective foolishness.
Are we there yet?
