Well, last night we received the news that the Republicans, Democrats, and the President reached a 2011 budget agreement at the 11th hour, but only after many calls to “K Street” for consultation and advice. “K Street” is the inside beltway term for the powerful national and international (global) lobbyists who make big dollar contributions to those who supposedly work for and represent us.
Both parties have led our nation to near bankruptcy, and one of those parties wants to increase the velocity of our national debt leading to our insolvency; the other can only nibble around the edges while trying to convince us they are really trying to fix the problem. Oh, really!
I have on good authority that Friday evening both AARP and AFLAC were contacted to determine what was acceptable in the budget negotiations. They were contacted because they pay big money to our legislators to vote the way they are told. And it is a given the Jeffery Immelt, GE’s Chairman of the Board and CEO was consulted by Mr. Obama and Harry Reed.
It is important that we understand the lobbyists are the foot soldiers and hirelings of the big corporations and other countries. Even the Chinese Communists and the Libyans have lobbyists to affect our foreign and national policies. That is why China holds the purse strings on our country. The more debt they hold, the more control they have over the Unites States and our way of life.
The former Communist/Marxist Premier of the Soviet Union, Nikita Khrushchev was right when he said, “We will sell you the rope to hang yourselves.” Our politicians and citizens in the 1950s said, “Hell no!” Now our politicians are paid to make us a debtor nation to China. So, while all the politicians decry that fact, they continue to make it easy for China to sell into the U.S. and de-industrialize America constructing laws to eliminate U.S. tariffs which have long protected U.S. manufacturers and U.S. jobs.
Our founders understood and implemented tariffs to fund the national government and protect our industries, but they did not accept money from the King of England to lower the tariffs for English goods. They were primarily concerned about the health of our economy and future of our country. Jefferson has many writings on commerce and banking that can help those who do not understand.
Donald Trump very well understands this basic concept, and he is the only non-politician and potential Presidential candidate who is voicing what many of us have understood for years. He is an extraordinarily successful businessman who understands international trade, business, and jobs. Herman Cain is another businessman who understands business without having the lobbyists telling him what he should do and think. Mitt Romney also understands. All of these men have run businesses and free enterprise is the heartbeat of our country, and our country’s interest must take precedent over that of naturalized U.S. citizen George Soros and the “Special Interests” that are destroying our country and our future.
Also it should be noted the Tea Parties across our country understand the nature of our problems. We know that we must not listen what our politicians say, but we must watch what they do. And what they did last night just is simply not good enough. Status quo and promises that they will do better is a song we have heard before by the same voices … same song different verse. It is time we change the dynamic and elect those who truly understand, and who have the courage of their convictions to do the right thing. We must continue to educate ourselves not just on the nature of the problems, but on effective and pragmatic solutions. The clock is running out, and our Masters understand their time is running out as well.
